Our vastness is so great, our eternal journey of self-exploration will never come to an end. We are constantly engaged in the miraculous and exciting adventure of self-discovery, ever opening up new realms and activating new tones to be expressed.

Almine tells us it is of utmost importance for us to fully express, because any missing tones create distortions in our environment. This is why we spend so much time integrating qualities to express them fully in our lives. But what is our unique contribution? How can we determine if we are living to our full potential and when we need to make changes? We receive these answers through our inspiration, but what do we do when we do not feel any particular inspiration?

The Song of Self Musical Ceremony is designed to help us relax into our inner space and just explore, without any pressure to perform, or decide, or know anything for sure. When we don’t feel inspiration to do anything in particular, we can allow ourselves to do nothing, to just wait and allow the inspiration to come. We can continue to interact with the world, waiting for the thing that sparks our passion to come along and give us new direction. Or we can just take some time out and allow ourselves to rest and reset. The main thing is to trust – even a lack of inspiration is inspiration! We do exactly what we are inspired to do – nothing!

Sometimes we have necessary tasks and interactions that do not evoke positive emotions, but we still need to do them. However, we can ask ourselves each time – is this necessary, or something I am imposing on myself? Can I change my attitude to make it more fun? Can I do it differently to make it less tedious? What would happen if I stopped doing it altogether? So many aspects of our lives become subject to others’ desires and opinions, and even our own preconceived notions of how a Master should live. This Ceremonial Music is designed to free us from these impositions and help us determine what our true desires and inspirations are.

Practical Recommendations

Before listening:

Sense what questions you would like an answer for, and create an intent for the Ceremony. This may be just to listen to the music and explore your inner world to gain a sense of freedom, or it may be more involved, with more self-examination and formulation of specific questions. Analyze if there are any areas of your life that need tweaking, where you feel your expression stifled, or where you sense any kind of discomfort. Examine where you are allowing others’ desires and opinions to control you. This includes our own preconceived notions of how we should be living our lives, and self-imposed standards we are trying to conform to. Do you find yourself stifling things you consider inappropriate, or not how a Master should act or speak? Perhaps you are at a crossroads of sorts and feel lost or uncertain which direction to go. Perhaps there is a situation in your life you are unsure how to handle. Spend some time deciding if there are specific issues, which ones you want to bring to the Ceremony, and write them down if you feel so inspired.

While listening:

Make sure you have a comfortable place to listen to the elixir – lying down with headphones on, sitting comfortably, or however you choose to listen. You may want to have a piece of paper or a journal nearby to write down insights, or you may choose to just relax and enjoy the experience. You may close your eyes, or look around the room or out the window. There are no “rules” about how to properly conduct the Ceremony, it is your time. This is your safe space to experiment, try new things, ask questions.

As you listen to the Musical Ceremony, allow the deeply pensive, meditative music to lead you deep within yourself, into new aspects of your being. Allow the varied sounds to awaken new tones and qualities within – the varied and changing melodies and styles help us embrace our many and varied aspects. To others they may seem contradictory, but in reality, contradiction exists only in the mind. Embrace and allow all aspects of your being – even the ones you have deemed as unpleasant or uncomfortable. Just remain in a state of neutral observing, watching the scenery of your inner world go by, similar to scanning radio stations to see if there is something you want to listen to. If you feel a twinge of discomfort, just breathe and relax into it, fully accepting and allowing that aspect of yourself. If you feel an upsurge of passion and inspiration, take note of it – that is an indication of your next step. Inspiration and passion go together, inspiration as the receptive aspect, passion as the proactive expression. Pay attention to anything that stirs your passion – that is your guiding light. Allow yourself to just relax and allow the music to express through you, without trying to control the process. Look deep into yourself and call forth new harmonies, new vibrations. Feel that you are everything, embrace every aspect fully, and allow your passion to direct what to express next.
